But she won't be, by the time you get out." urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:roneryjelly:18142 2008-08-18T20:58:24Z 2008-08-18T21:21:15Z Newhamgenerals0308.mp3 <a name="cutid1"></a><font size="1">Gunman shoots at police<br /><br />The bad news:<br /><br /><a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7568342.stm">Murder could be 'race motivated'</a><br /><br />Sort of funny:<br /><br /><u><b>Friday, 15 August 2008</b></u><br /><br /><br />Officers from Operation Trident are investigating<br /><br />POLICE were shot at this morning (Friday) while chasing a man from a car they had pulled over. <br /><br />Two uniformed officers were driving in the Tulse Hill area when they saw a green Ford Focus and signalled for it to stop. <br /><br />The car sped off and was chased until nearby Abbess Close. <br /><br />The driver stayed by the car and was arrested but the passenger ran down an alleyway, followed by one of the officers. <br /><br />During the chase, the suspect pulled a gun from his waistband, turned and fired one shot, which missed. <br /><br />The policeman continued to give chase and arrested a man in the car park of the Tulse Hill Tavern. <br /><br />A handgun was recovered from the scene. <br /><br />Officers from the Met's specialist shootings division, Operation Trident, are investigating.<br /><br />CS gas let off in crowded cinema<br /><br /><u><b>Wednesday, 16 April 2008</b></u><br /><br />Evacuation of Streatham's Odeon<br /><br />By Crime Reporter, Leon Watson<br /><br />A TEENAGE film-goer has been arrested after CS gas was let off in the foyer of a crowded cinema. <br /><br />Cops said the noxious gas was sprayed in the face of a member of staff after a row kicked off in Streatham's Odeon picture house. <br /><br />Staff were forced to evacuate the venue at around 5pm. One person was taken to hospital and a number of people were treated for coughing. <br /><br />The suspect - aged in his mid to late teens – is being quizzed by police at Streatham police station.</font><br /><br /><lj-embed id="4" />
